As more Pennsylvania counties move out of Governor Tom Wolf’s designated “red phase” in the three-phase re-opening plan, InVision Human Services continues to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and follow the data-driven advice of health officials in the commonwealth.
We understand how difficult shelter-in-place orders have been not only for the people we support, but also for their DSPs and all our staff. By Friday, June 5, all counties will be out of red phase and in either “yellow phase”—meaning aggressive mitigation practices will continue to be enforced—or “green phase”—meaning mostly lifted stay-at-home orders and mandatory business closures. Over time, however, counties may possibly shift phases depending on public health indicators. We ask that all InVision staff closely monitor the situations in their respective counties and also—for DSPs—the counties in which the people we support live.
At this time, InVision offices in Wexford and Reading remain closed. More information about office re-opening plans will be available in the coming weeks.
As a reminder, we are following guidance from the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) regarding allowable social and community activities for the people we support. Virtual team meetings will continue to be utilized to communicate these community engagement plans to Program staff. If a DSP has any questions regarding plans or protocols for the person they support, they may contact their supervisor or the responsible program manager for assistance.
A good rule of thumb for everyone is to continue maintaining social distance and wearing masks in public settings. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
explained the benefits of these measures for reducing the spread of illness in our communities.
Thank you, as always, to our staff for their dedication, commitment, and patience as we work through this unprecedented situation.
