WEXFORD, PENNSYLVANIA (June 19, 2024) – The board of directors of InVision Human Services recently announced a major change in the leadership of the 32-year-old organization.
Kim Love, who was appointed CEO of InVision in 2022, will assume the additional role of president of InVision effective January 1, 2025. Ruth Siegfried, who founded InVision Human Services (then SharpVisions) in 1992, will transition into the role of founding president of the organization at that time.
For more than 30 years, Siegfried fulfilled the role of founder and president/CEO of IHS. Her contribution to the intellectual disability and autism (ID/A) community has been legendary. She is a founding member and board chair of William Penn Human Services; founding member and current board president for The Provider Alliance (TPA); co-founder of The Purchasing Edge (a subsidiary of TPA); advisory board member of the International Federation of Educative Communities – Association for Child & Youth Care Practice (FICE-ACYCP-USA); former executive board member with PAR (PA Advocacy and Resources for Autism and Intellectual Disability); and co-founder and secretary of Network for Quality MR Services in PA.
In 2023, Siegfried served on Governor Josh Shapiro’s Health and Human Services Transition Advisory Committee. Over the past 40+ years, Siegfried worked closely with the PA Department of Human Services and the Office of Developmental Programs deputy secretaries of many administrations as an advocate for ID/A providers and defenders of people with ID/A.
In making the announcement, IHS Board Chair Joanne Fascio stated, “The transition of leadership to Kim Love as president/CEO is the result of a comprehensive and strategic plan. She will have full responsibility for the organization on January 1 for the mission, strategic plan, direction and oversight of the 700 employees of IHS as well as all the entities that are part of the IHS family, including InVision Foundation, InVision Integrated Behavioral Health, and InVision Customized Services.”
Siegfried says, “Of course it is difficult to leave the head of the table for InVision, but I believe that this well-planned transition will serve InVision and the people we support extremely well as we continue into the next years. I am honored to move into the new role of founding president, which will entail working primarily at the direction of the board and in cooperation with the new president/CEO. I am particularly excited to continue working into the foreseeable future with William Penn Human Services and in the area of government relations and advocacy, advising the new president/CEO and transitioning her into that role. Our efforts in the past few years are culminating with the historic support for people with ID/A that is represented in Shapiro’s current proposed budget, and I will be working tirelessly alongside other industry professionals to advocate for that budget’s full passage.”
InVision Human Services was founded in 1992, and serves people in the ID/A community, many of whom have multiple and often complex diagnoses. The company is headquartered in Wexford, with offices in Harrisburg and Reading. To learn more about InVision, visit
