We put people first.

In theory, this is a great concept and most people I interact with subscribe to this mindset. But how do you really put that in practice as an everyday value of your organization?
 
I have been a human resource professional for 20+ years and have worked in both higher education and the for-profit sectors and have never been able to capture how to consistently put people first in our work. That is until I came to InVision. 
 
From the moment I interviewed in August to today, people have been at the core of what we do and who we are. Staff care for each other as both professionals and human beings. I have seen staff pick up extra work when their fellow coworker is sick or dealing with a personal matter. Direct support professionals care for the people they support with an ease and understanding that most people cannot demonstrate and maintain in their daily lives. Teams come together to think creatively and proactively to help our people get the services they need no matter what the hurdle. When you put the people first, they respond. Our work matters and so do our people. I am grateful to work with individuals invested in both.
