Director Profile: Samantha Adams

 0
Please join us in welcoming the newest member to InVision’s team of directors, Samantha Adams! In May this year, Sam was brought on as Director of Clinical Operations, responsible for the vital oversight of our clinical and administrative operations among our behavioral specialists.

As the Director of Clinical Operations, Sam’s duties also extend to supporting the development of clinical quality within our Residential Program. This includes providing proper onboarding, training, and supervision for behavioral specialists, as well as maintaining the integrity of program standards and acting as a liaison between departments to ensure the effective implementation of behavioral supports. Additionally, in the few short weeks since her start date, Sam has played an integral role in assisting with our organizational goals and efforts associated with Performance Based Contracting.

After getting settled in and accustomed to her day-to-day work, Sam was surprised to learn about the broadness of InVision’s footprint statewide. Sam mentioned that prior to working with InVision, she never realized just how many people are supported by our organization through our various programs.

During Sam’s time with InVision so far, she has greatly enjoyed the passion displayed by her colleagues for the important work we do together.

“Working at InVision has been a very welcoming experience,” Sam shared. “I’ve found there are so many team members deeply committed to providing quality care to the people we support.”

Sam’s Background

Prior to InVision, Sam built a career working in high acuity behavioral services – having experience in a wide range of care settings that include in-home programs and hospital levels of care. Over the past ten years, Sam has held positions in management, served a variety of geographical areas, and specialized in community programs. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Sam has developed an acute set of skills, excelling at creating and maintaining balance among clinical and administrative needs. Collectively, Sam’s past professional experience has allowed her to strengthen her ability to assess situations and see the full scope of a person and their needs when providing them with care – making her a perfect candidate for her role with InVision.

“I’m someone who enjoys having their cup filled through various types of work,” Sam said. “And my off time is just as important to me.”

Originally from Reading, PA – the same location of InVision’s eastern office – Sam moved to the Pittsburgh area 20 years ago, where she currently resides and considers her home. Outside of the office, Sam enjoys being active; regularly participating in activities such as yoga, hiking, running, and spending time outside. She also loves to explore local farmer’s markets, cooking, discovering new recipes to test her cooking skills, and hanging out with friendly neighborhood cats.

Welcome to InVision, Sam! We are excited to have you on our team of directors and look forward to all the contributions you will bring to the people we support, your colleagues, and our organization.
