TPACON 2024

Toward the end of July, The Provider Alliance (TPA) – an association dedicated to supporting organizations that serve people with intellectual disabilities and autism (ID/A) – hosted its annual conference, TPACON, in Cranberry PA.

TPA is a member of our coalition, and InVision Human Services is a proud sponsor of this event. InVision’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Holly Wolk; Vice President of Health Services, Marlene DAngelo; Director of Communications and Outreach, Aaron Borchert; Executive Admin to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Allison Sadlowski; and Communications and Outreach Coordinator, Jenna Colussy were present at the conference to represent InVision, and learn more about the happenings within the human services industry.

After time allotted for the sponsors and vendors of this event to set up for the day, the morning kicked off with a conversation with the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP). Deputy Secretary of ODP, Kristin Ahrens, presented the latest news and updates in the industry – including Governor Shapiro’s signed budget increase for ID/A services, and Performance-Based Contracting (PBC).

Following these updates, President and CEO of the National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals (NADSP), Joe Macbeth, discussed the important of providing tools to Pennsylvania’s direct support workforce – covering the NADSP E-Badge Academy, PBC credentialing, performance insights, and more.

Vice President of State Partnerships and Innovation at the American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR), Donna Martin, also lead a conversation centered around federal changes and insights for providers. After an hour for a lunch break, the discussion surrounding PBC continued, followed by a panel discussion about integrated care – focusing on trends, advancements, and data-sharing – held by leaders at ODP, and others from health-focused organizations within the industry.

Events such as TPACON are great for learning and networking. Those in attendance have the opportunity to be a part of scheduled panels, as well as meet with vendors who offer innovative technology, solutions, and services in support of organizations who serve the ID/A community.

Thank you, TPA, for a wonderful and educational event, and for all the incredible work you do for our industry!
